Are you interested in visiting MECDHH/GBSD?

We love to have visitors come to Mackworth Island to hear about and visit our Preschool program and we know former Baxter students appreciate the opportunity to visit the school they attended.  Also, from time to time we have citizens “from away” (It’s a Maine thing!) who have heard about MECDHH/GBSD and want to see the school location.

We invite you to contact us!  Preschool Coordinator and CORE Team Consultant Cathy Lushman is available upon request to provide tours and share some about the history of the school. It is important for visits to be scheduled a minimum of 48 hours in advance. We want to ensure an interpreter is available, if needed, and we must follow our Emergency Management Plan regarding facilities guests on island.

For a visit, please complete our visitor request form. Cathy is able to schedule visits and tours on Fridays between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you soon!

If you are a parent/guardian interested in enrolling your child at MECDHH/GBSD, please complete our “refer a child” form and we will reach out to you.
