Strategic Plan

MECDHH/GBSD is pleased to announce a new, forward-thinking mission and vision that embraces the evolution of our organization, while honoring the history of our school.  Our school board  has adopted a cohesive and ambitious three-year strategic plan to support the new mission and vision. The mission, vision and strategic plan fundamentally shift the alignment of resources to meet the needs of our students and their families statewide.  These guiding documents also serve as a commitment to valuing critical feedback received from recent surveys and stakeholder meetings with families, our staff and professionals statewide on what they felt was needed in Maine for deaf and hard of hearing children.

We are proud of our collaboration with Innivee Strategies who led our strategic planning process with their unique specialization of supporting organizations in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Innivee Strategies guided our team to develop a pathway to take our organization from where it is today to where we want it to be in the future. The end result will revitalize our organization and demonstrate student and family success through measurable outcomes.
