Mission Statement: The Foundation for Maine’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children promotes a broad spectrum of educational opportunities for Maine’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and their families.
Guiding Principles: The Foundation provides financial support to children and programs, which support the following initiatives for Maine’s deaf and hard of hearing children and their families:
The Foundation board traditionally meets in October, January, March, May, and twice in June to review application requests and develop fundraising plans.
Applications for funding should be sent to the Foundation at least two weeks prior to each meeting.

Fundraising: The Foundation’s major annual fundraiser is theMackworth Island Show & Shine. which is held on Mackworth Island, Falmouth Maine the last Sunday of July.
